Exciting News! Introducing Xplor Home -One app for everything

Dear Families,

Our software provider QikKids has recently merged with another leading Child Care software program called Xplor. Since this merger, QikKids have announced that they are now offering upgrades to their new cloud-based products.

We are excited to announce that Wilston Kids Care have the opportunity to move to a new platform called Xplor Home. This upgrade will allow Wilston Kids Care to simplify our entire parent experience, streamline administrative functions whilst still delivering the best educational journey for the children. This is a more innovative, simplistic, and effective platform than we have ever seen before and incorporates everything we do separately into one app. Not only is this a great improvement for us, but also for our families.

What are some features of the new platform?

  • New parent app with the ability to sign in/out using your mobile phone or kiosk, manage your child’s bookings, view account statement history (past & present), make payments, communicate with the Service and more.

  • Electronic incident reports – you will be able to view incident reports and photos of the injury (if necessary) and sign the report using a digital signature.

  • Review your child’s learning and leisure progress and documentation relating to our Educational Program (replaces OneChild).

  • Electronic medication processes – for uploading Action Plans, Medication Forms and more.

  • More efficient and less labour-intensive forms that will capture enrolment, medication and incident/injury reports that can be signed by the parents/guardian using a digital signature.

  • Cloud-based – super-charged security with real-time backups to the cloud.

  • SMS functionality to communicate to the greater Wilston Kids Care community.

What happens next?

Watch this space. Over the next few weeks, the Wilston Kids Care Administration team, and General Manager Raeleen Wren, will send important communications with materials for parents to read about and action to set up the new platform.

Within these communications, there will be very clear instructions with what parents need to do and the time frame with which we need these tasks completed. Please keep your eye out for these communications as there will be steps you need to complete. The quicker we receive all the information back from families the quicker we can go live.

Things to be mindful of?

Some of the exciting features we will be using may not be available straight away. We will be rolling these out in a timeline to make sure there is minimal disruption to our families. Also, there are some features that are suited to long day care rather than school aged care. These features will not be utilised by Wilston Kids Care. We will outline these areas further in our upcoming communications as we go along.

We are excited about this new venture and look forward to the ways Wilston Kids Care can further support our families and children. We appreciate your patience as we transition to this new platform and if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to speak to Dani or Michaela.
