Important- Priority of Access Guidelines for Free Vacation Care Days
Dear Families,
Please be advised at this stage, Vacation Care is fully booked at 120 children per day. We are asking every family attending this Vacation Care period to fill out the below form as a condition of their child’s enrolment to ensure you meet the priority of access guidelines and to ensure eligibility for attendance.
The Priority of Access Guidelines only apply to Child Care Subsidy (CCS) approved child care services and must be used when there is a waiting list for a service and a number of parents are applying for a limited number of vacant places, or if the service is full and a Priority 1 or 2 child requires child care. Please note, we do not hold a waitlist for Vacation Care, if you require a booking you must keep an eye on your My Family Lounge app and we recommend turning on your casual booking notifications.

Please make sure if you have successfully booked any day during Vacation Care, that your child attends. As the days offered for this Vacation Care period are free, the demand is extremely high, and some parents have missed out on a booking all together. If you no longer need your booking and/or know your child is not going to attend on any days you have previously booked, please be responsible and cancel this booking via the My Family Lounge app (or mark absent if less than seven days’ notice is given). This will allow other families who desperately require care to book into Vacation Care on that day. It is important that as a learning community we support one another and share these free days out as much as we can, please only take the days you need.
We understand that children/family members can get sick, causing last minute absentees. If you/your child wakes up sick on a day they are booked, please ensure you advise Wilston Kids Care immediately via phone or email. We will then be able to offer this place to another family in need.
Please make sure the Priority of Access Form, linked above, is completed prior to your child attending. If we have not received this for your child, they will not be able to attend the day/s you have booked. Please note, if you fall in the priority 3 category you may be asked to vacate some of your booked days for a priority 1 or 2 family.
