Important Information for WKC community as lockdown lifted from 12 noon today
Dear Families, A number of you have no doubt heard the important announcement made by the Premier today about the 3-day lockdown being lifted from 12 noon today. The following restrictions will be in place for two weeks until 12 noon on Thursday 15 April 2021: · You must continue to carry a mask with you whenever you leave home, and wear it in any indoor venue · Hospitality venues can open for seated eating and drinking only, and no dancing is allowed · Private gatherings are restricted to 30 people · Businesses can re-open with one person per 2m² · Outdoor events can go ahead with a COVID-safe plan, but masks must be worn if social distancing isn’t possible · Church services will be allowed at 100% occupancy with ticketed or allocated seating or adhering to the one per 2m² rule · Restrictions on aged care, hospitals, disability care and correctional facilities will apply with no personal visitors allowed during this period. Will we be open? Today we close at 6 pm for the Easter Long weekend. We are closed Friday 2 April (Good Friday Public Holiday) and Monday 5 April (Easter Monday Public Holiday). Wilston Kids Care will be open and operational for Vacation Care from Tuesday 6 April at 6.30am. As per the new restrictions in place from 12 noon today all adults will need to continue to wear masks indoors, if they cannot socially distance. Please make sure you wear a mask when dropping off or collecting your child. Staff working directly with children are not required to wear a mask under the Department of Education (ECEC) advice. If my child does not attend Vacation Care, will I be charged? If your child is unwell, please do not bring them to the Service during Vacation Care. We will unfortunately not be able to accept any sick child. All notice periods apply. 7 days written notice of a cancellation will be in place again. No exceptions will be made. Please note if you see availability on the day you require do not hesitate to book via your Xplor app so you don’t miss out.
